We will be operating along the Bournemouth coast line again during 2019.   Following a 5 mile route, you can appreciate the view of Bournemouth and Poole bays, Hengistbury Head and the Isle of Wight to the east together with the Purbeck Hills and Old Harry Rocks to the west.   There are various small public gardens and walks, cliff-top paths and access points to the beach along the route.  You can get on or off at any point along the route and also buy a day travel pass.   At Hengistbury Head there’s a visitors centre, land train, a superb walk to the ‘Black House’ opposite Mudeford Quay. If you climb the hill you’ll be rewarded with unrivalled panoramic views of the area.

Summer 2019 will mark our third year operating a vintage bus along the Bournemouth coast line. This year we’re introducing our 1965 Daimler Fleetline open-top bus, which we plan to operate every Sunday. If the weather isn’t good though our faithful 1950 Leyland Titan will entertain you instead and keep you dry. This year we’ll also be picking up in Gervis Place before heading to Bournemouth Pier.

Our regular Sunday route will be:-

Route 12 – Bournemouth (Travel Interchange) / Bournemouth (Gervis Place) / Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier and Hengistbury Head

This route operates 5 return trips every Sunday between 21 July to 25 August 2019.

The specific dates, times and stops are noted in the poster below.

Poster Route 12 v1

Buses to/from Bournemouth Travel Interchange will use Stand B

Other fares are available as you may travel between any stops along the route.   We offer a range of single and return fares and for 2019 we’ll be offering an adult day pass at £13. Please remember that we operate vintage buses with conductors and we’ll never be as cheap as modern bus operators!   Unfortunately, we don’t yet have the resources to offer an electronic ticketing system so all fares are cash only.

Sorry, but the concessionary pass system does not apply to the Coastal Service.
